“The Masked Singer” Recap: Another One Bites The Dust

The Masked Singer continued on Wednesday night as Group B took to the stage for the first time. Five more masked stars sang their hearts out, hoping to impress the audience and judges enough to move on to the next round.

In case you missed it, here’s a recap of the performances as well as my guesses as to who each masked singer could be.

Black Swan

The first celeb of the night was Black Swan. She performed Heart’s “Barracuda” flawlessly. It would stun me if we don’t have a professional recording artist behind the mask; she has the correct tone, timing, and range. She’s clearly done this before. Clues included that “Black Swan has covered a monster.”

Who is behind the mask? My guess: I have no idea!

Grandpa Monster

Don’t let his name fool you – there’s a young whippersnapper behind that Grandpa Monster mask. He put his own fun spin on Lou Bega’s “Mambo No. 5 (A Little Bit Of…).” His clues included that “Grandpa Monster has trained for battle before.”

Who is behind the mask? My guess: I’ve got nothing…

Chameleon

The Chameleon was up next and his clue package screamed tech. There were joysticks, computers, video games, and a turntable. His performance of Nelly’s “Ride Wit Me” was pretty fun but he is not a singer.

Who is behind the mask? My guess: Still stuck here.

Phoenix

Okay this was one performance that was so easy to guess who was behind the mask. This performance included clues like “When people see me, they always see a winner, baby.” Their performance of Kesha’s “Tik Tok” was awful and she just spoke the words didn’t even sing.

Who is behind the mask? My guess: reality star Caitlyn Jenner

Piglet

Following that awful performance from Phoenix, we closed out the night with the smooth voice from Piglet. His clue package included being unlucky in love and having past romantic mishaps. His performance of Dan + Shay’s “Speechless” was by far the best of the night. I know exactly who this is based on the voice alone.

Who is behind the mask? My guess: Singer and TV host Nick Lachey

The unmasking

After all the celebrities sang and the audience voted, guest host Niecy Nash returned to deliver the results. She revealed that Phoenix had the lowest votes of the night. When unmasked, Phoenix was revealed to be Caitlyn Jenner!
