‘America’s Got Talent’ Recap: The Best And Worsts Acts From Week 4 of Auditions

America’s Got Talent continued on Tuesday night with singers, dancers, a missing judge, and one final act that probably had Sofia Vergara regretting her decision to join the show.

In case you missed it, here are the best and worst acts from the fourth week of auditions.

The Best

W.A.F.F.L.E. Crew

Tuesday was one of the weaker audition episodes of the season so far, but easily the best act of the night belonged to the W.A.F.F.L.E. Dance Crew. The group from the Bronx hit the AGT stage after spending years dancing in the subway of New York.

The group flipped through the air, danced, and did some pretty cool tricks with their hats and shoes. It was truly something I hadn’t seen on the AGT stage in a very, very long time. Judge Simon Cowell was so impressed that he slammed his Golden Buzzer, sending the dancers straight into the live shows later this year.

The Spyros Bros

Despite an early release online prior to the episode, this act still managed to be a big wow moment. The brothers from the Philippines had a dream to be on the stage in America and it finally came true.

What started out as a simple trick with a diabolo turned into something amazing as the brothers used two diabolos but did tricks from the audience and even flung them from the stage to the judge’s desk without ever dropping it. You could see how much the love from the judges and audience meant to the pair as they earned four yeses to advance into the next round.

The Worst

Christine Hurley

The worst act of the night belonged to comedian Christine Hurley, who clearly felt the pressure of being on the big stage. Her jokes were solid but near the end, she kept blanking on the names, missing the punchline, and even said the wrong word. You could tell she felt bad but both Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum offered to give her another chance. Simon and Sofia said ‘no’, meaning her time was over. Howie went backstage to comfort Christine, telling her going blank happens in comedy and even encouraged her to return to audition next year.

Episode Notes

  • Sofia may be regretting her decision to join the show after Tuesday’s episode. Okay, I’m obviously kidding but the final act of the night saw her struggle to pull a sword from the mouth of Brett Loudermilk and her reactions had everyone laughing. She should’ve been hired as a judge years ago!
  • Heidi was absent from the second half of the episode. She actually left the March 10 taping early because she was feeling unwell and former Modern Family star Eric Stonestreet will fill in for her next week.
