3 Questions Following ‘The Flash’ 6×06 “License to Elongate”

With the impending “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover casting a dark cloud over all of the Arrowverse, Tuesday’s episode of The Flash gave viewers a breath of fresh air from all of that and followed Barry and Ralph on a hilarious undercover mission.

This episode was basically a lot of filler, but as always, I’ve got questions about what’s to come. Here’s three of the biggest ones I had following episode 6×06, titled “License to Elongate”.

What’s going to happen to Ralph?

After a fun-filled episode, things got dark in the very last scene. Following Barry declaring Elongated Man (aka Ralph) the newest protector for the city in preparation for his disappearance, Ralph was on the roof overlooking Central City when he’s attacked by Dr. Ramsey Russo, who has fully embraced his Bloodwork persona.

So the big question here obviously is what’s going to happen to Ralph? I don’t think he’ll die, considering he’s in the upcoming crossover. But with a big two-part season finale on the horizon, it looks like Team Flash will go through hell and back to get Ralph to safety.

Are the new faces here to stay?

The episode highlighted two newer characters, Chester and Allegra. My question here is, are they here to stay for awhile? It certainly seems so and it has me wondering if they’re being introduced now to fill in if a member of Team Flash were to die in “Crisis on Infinite Earths”.

What’s more interesting is Allegra and Nash Wells had a lot of interaction in the episode as Nash needed her help to break through the barrier to ultimately capture and kill The Monitor. As the episode ends, Nash takes a moment to look at her before leaving and it is so clear he’s hiding a secret when it comes to her. I think that Allegra and Nash are related, but I guess we will find out the truth sooner rather than later.

A preview of Crisis?

The episode also gave us a preview as to some of the things we can expect to see tackled in the “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover that is coming up in a few weeks. As I mentioned above, Nash wants to kill the Monitor for being a “false God”. This is definitely something to take note of as Oliver was also searching for a way to kill the Monitor a few weeks ago over on Arrow.

So it’s being heavily implied that the Monitor will die in Crisis and if you haven’t read the spoilers, I won’t spoil the outcome for you. However, it will be fun to watch all of the events unfold and whether or not we’ll see Nash and Oliver work together to take the Monitor down.

The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on The CW.
