3 Questions Following ‘Arrow’ 8×06 “Reset”
This week’s Arrowverse shows have been bringing it recently and Tuesday’s episode of Arrow was no exception. The hour featured the return of a fan favorite and saw Oliver learning a valuable lesson.
As always, I have questions. So here are the three biggest ones I have after episode 8×06, titled “Reset”.
How will the lesson Oliver help him moving forward?
Oliver and Laurel were in a time loop in Tuesday’s episode, reliving the same day over and over and over again. The Monitor wanted to show Oliver that he can’t always control his fate, just like he couldn’t control Quinten Lance’s (who was the mayor in this world) death in the time loop.
So how will this help Oliver moving forward? This remains to be seen, but it looks like Oliver may now actually accept that he will die. This will also likely help Diggle and the rest of Team Arrow accept it as well and not try to save him.
What is Lyla’s plan?
Lyla finally confessed to Oliver why she was working with The Monitor. She explained that she’s been working with the Monitor for a while and a Crisis is coming, something “greater than anything we have ever had to face” and Oliver is their lone chance at stopping it.
So what is Lyla’s plan moving forward? Will she be the one contacting all the heroes from the different Earths? If we’re judging based off the promos that keep popping up, that is exactly what she’ll do. I’m so ready to watch her in action.
Will Deathstroke return?
As the episode ended, Oliver found himself back on Lian Yu. Alongside him were Diggle, Mia, William, and Connor. So with all this happening, will viewers see the return of Deathstroke? No, not the future Deathstroke gang. I mean the original Deathstroke, the one that Manu Bennett played so amazingly? It wouldn’t be a series finale without fully going back to the beginning and bringing arguably Oliver’s biggest frenemy back for one last battle.
What did you think of the episode? Let me know in the comments below!
Arrow airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on The CW.
