‘America’s Got Talent’ recap: The first five finalists are revealed

The 14th season of America’s Got Talent is drawing to a close and Wednesday night saw the seasons first five finalists confirmed with just two weeks until the finale.

Things got serious right off the bat as host Terry Crews revealed that dance act Light Balance Kids, Ndlovu Youth Choir, and singer Robert Finley were all in danger. The fans would have a chance to save one with the live Dunkin Save vote later on. Terry then revealed Kodi Lee was the first act to advance to the finals.

Following performances from Season 12 winner Darci Lynn and fan-favorite Preacher Lawson, Terry returned with some more results and revealed that Benecio Bryant and Tyler Butler-Figueroa would be the next two acts through. It was then time to see who had won the Dunkin Save. Terry announced that the Light Balance Kids had gotten enough votes from the fans to secure their spot in the finals.

It was then up to the judges to decide whether Robert Finley and Ndlovu Youth Choir would take the final spot. Gabrielle Union, Julianne Hough, and Simon Cowell each voted for Ndlovu Youth Choir, which meant they would be heading to the finals. Howie Mandel was the lone judge to vote for Robert Finley.
