There are two new faces coming to National City for the fifth season of Supergirl. It was announced at the show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel that Julie Gonzalo and Staz Nair are joining the superhero show as series regulars.

According to a press release, Gonzalo will play Andrea Rojas (aka Acrata), a polished businesswoman and heir to a Central American tech empire who is now making a hostile advance into the world of media. 

Nair will play hardened reporter William Dey, a character that was made specifically for the series. Dey’s not interested in making friends, he just wants to get the story — but his ties to the criminal underworld could prove problematic. This addition makes sense since it was revealed that Mehcad Brooks is departing the show.
