TMZ is reporting that Jamie Lynn Spears is in talks with Nickelodeon to reboot Zoey 101 and reprise her role as Zoey Brooks. The news comes after Jamie Lynn recently announced on Twitter that she is returning to acting in the Netflix series, Sweet Magnolias.

Unnamed Nickelodeon sources told the website that there will be “a few major changes” in the reboot. One of the reported changes is that the reboot would follow Zoey’s life in California as a 28-year-old mom whose kids are going to PCA. It is also reported that this version of Spears’ character would be “Zoey with an edge”.

The show originally ran for four seasons on Nickelodeon from January 2005 until May 2008. Series creator Dan Schneider posted a video to his YouTube channel on the ten-year anniversary of the show’s episode “Time Capsule” that ended with “to be continued…?”.
