Arielle Vandenberg named host of CBS’ ‘Love Island’

CBS’s new summer show Love Island finally has found its host.

Actress Arielle Vandenberg will host the dating reality show when it makes its American debut next month, the network announced on Thursday.

“As a huge fan of the show, I can’t tell you how excited I am to be hosting Love Island this summer,” Vandenberg said Thursday in a statement. “I’m here for it all … the love, the relationships, the re-coupling. Bring it on. I feel so honored to be at the head of the table watching it all go down!”

Vandenberg is best known for her roles in TBS’ Meet the Browns as well as reoccurring roles in CBS’ How I Met Your Mother and then-ABC Family’s Greek.

Love Island follows a group of islanders living in a villa in Fiji as they compete to find love and friendship. Every few days they must couple up or risk being sent home by the voting public. The show has been a massive hit in the UK, where the current series launched to its largest audience ever.

Love Island premieres July 9 on CBS and will air five nights a week.
