As a Michigan native, Motor City Comic Con is a convention I look forward to each and every year. Not only do they always bring a stellar line up, but also I get to bring family and friends along for the fun! This year Motor City Comic Con is celebrating their 30th year and are planning their biggest event yet!
The guests that have me most excited is the mini Sons of Anarchy reunion happening! Charlie Hunnam, Ryan Hurst, and Theo Rossi will all be in attendance. Jax himself is going to be in my home state and I can’t handle it!
Another very exciting reunion happening at Motor City is for Doctor Who. David Tennent, Billie Piper, and Freema Agyeman will all be together for the first time at a convention.
If you are fan of Lucifer like myself (can we talk about this new Netflix season???), then you should make a trip to the Mitten state. Not only will Tom Ellis, aka Lucifer himself, be in attendance, but DB Woodside and Lesley-Ann Brandt will also be there too! An angel, a demon, and a devil, oh my!
If comedy shows are more your speed, both Brian Baumgartner and Leslie Baker from The Office will be available for all your burning Scranton, PA questions. Comedian Pauly Shore will also be joining us.
There is also quite the lineup for classic TV and film lovers! Barry Williams, AKA Greg Brady of The Brady Bunch, Henry Winkler, “The Fonz” of Happy Days, John Cleese of literally everything Monty Python, Lou Ferrigno, the original Hulk, and Sarah Douglas of Superman and Stargate SG1 will all be gracing us with their presence. We are so lucky to have these legends to join us!
Other names you may recognize include: Alanna Masterson (The Walking Dead), Brandon Routh (Legends of Tomorrow, Superman Returns), Doug Jones (Hellboy, The Shape of Water), Felicia Day (The Magicians, Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Return, Supernatural, Buffy), George Takei (Star Trek), Henry Ian Cusick (Lost, The 100), Irene Bedard (Pocahontas), Judith Hoag (Nashville, Halloweentown), Linda Larkin (Aladdin), Kristian Nairn (Game of Thrones), Pom Klementieff (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2), and Tom Payne (The Walking Dead).
Whew! What a list! And I didn’t even cover the comic guests. Have I convinced you to come to Michigan yet?
Check out their full lineup here! For more information, make sure you follow them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
