Netflix Finally Drops ‘On My Block’ Season 2 Trailer: Here’s What We’ve Figured Out About the New Season
After almost a year since Season 1 of On My Block, Netflix finally gave us the trailer for Season 2! Not only that, but we also have an official day for the Season 2 release: March 29th!
On My Block follows the lives of four very savvy and vibrant close friends as they navigate their way through high school and all the other experiences that come with it. As they go through adolescence, they are tested with many a trial, and the show explores them going about that growth in their own way. Season 1 ended with a jaw-dropping cliffhanger that left you wondering about the fate of one of its beloved characters, Ruby.
Now, with the release of the new trailer, it looks as if we might have received the answers we’ve been hoping for and so much more! If you haven’t seen the trailer just yet, check it out here:
What a trailer, am I right?
So far, here is what we know (or what we may not know, because trailers can be deceiving sometimes):
Ruby. Is. Alive.
We really, really hope this is true and not some sort of a dream. He opens his eyes, so that should be an indication he’s alright… right? I’m also guessing this means that Olivia is the one who passed away. It definitely looks like they are leaning towards revealing the deceased is her.
Monse and Cesar are the perfect pair.
We watch as Monse dresses up a wounded Cesar and they share the most intimate glares towards each other. These two are so precious, and I’m excited to see where this newfound friendship-turned-relationship will head in season 2.
Jamal has secured the bag!
Literally. We watch him in the trailer sitting on his bed, taking in all the cash he has acquired, looking very happy. He’s a rich boy! I’m curious to see what his storyline will be like this next season. He wasn’t there when Ruby and Olivia got shot, so I’m assuming this might be before he finds out about the tragedy? I guess we’ll have to wait and see!
