Terry Crews, Gabrielle Union, and Julianne Hough join ‘America’s Got Talent’ Season 14 in major shakeup

America’s Got Talent will shake things up when the talent series returns for Season 14.
Variety reported, and NBC later confirmed, Julianne Hough and Gabrielle Union will join the judging panel for the upcoming summer series, joining returning judges Howie Mandel and Simon Cowell. After five seasons, Mel B and Heidi Klum are off the show.
“One of the many secrets to the success and longevity of America’s Got Talent is its fearless drive to reinvent itself,” Meredith Ahr, president of Alternative and Reality Group for NBC Entertainment, said in a statement. “The next evolution of the format brings in fresh expert eyes to join Simon and Howie on the panel. Gabrielle and Julianne are two of the most aspirational women in the business, on top of being electric entertainers with talent across disciplines. I am excited to see how their knowledge, compassion and sheer joy enhance the experience for acts and viewers alike.”
Hough was a two-time professional dance champion on Dancing With The Stars and later joined the show as a judge. She’s also starred in the movies Footloose, Rock of Ages, Safe Haven and Bigger, as well as starring in Fox’s Grease: Live.
Union will executive produce and star in the Bad Boys TV spinoff L.A.’s Finest. Her film credits include Bring It On, Think Like a Man, and Breaking In.
Terry Crews will serve as the new host, taking over from Tyra Banks after two seasons. Crews currently serves as host for the spin-off America’s Got Talent: The Champions and instantly won fans over with his personality and humor. He also stars on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, which NBC recently revived.
