According to reports, Carlos Valdes may be planning to leave the hit CW show after the conclusion of Season 5.

Valdes has been a regular on the show since it began, playing Cisco Ramon/Vibe. He was first introduced during Season 2 of Arrow along with Danielle Panabaker, who plays Caitlin Snow. However, it has been noticed by fans that Valdes has been seen less and less during the current running fifth season.

This season, fans have been Cisco deal with his break-up with Gypsy and Cicada take away his powers. Most recently, Valdes’ character has been creating a metahuman cure, which has seen Valdes be off-screen more often than on it. This week’s episode is the perfect example of this as he did not appear at all. It could be the producers’ way of getting fans used to the fact that Cisco might not be around as much, so that when he does leave it will make the transition a little easier.

Cisco has said he wants to be normal and without powers. He wants a wife and kids, so it is very likely that Valdes will be written off the show, not killed off. This option would leave the door open for him to return in future episodes.
