Timothée Chalamet and Rachel Weisz to be Honored at 2018 Hollywood Film Awards

For the past 20 years, the Hollywood Film Awards have been the catalyst to film awards season. The Hollywood Film Awards honors some of the most acclaimed films and actors, as well as previews highly anticipated films and talent for the upcoming year. Additional artists are also honored in the categories of Cinematography, Visual Effects, Film Composing, Costume Design, Editing, Production Design, Sound and Makeup & Hairstyling. Its honorees have included the world’s biggest stars and more than 130 have gone on to garner Oscar nominations and/or wins. In its 22-year history, more than 320 actors and filmmakers have been highlighted at the Hollywood Film Awards.

This year, Timothée Chalamet and Rachel Weisz will be receiving the Hollywood Supporting Actor Award and Hollywood Supporting Actress Award.

Chalamet’s claim to fame was in last year’s Oscar contender Call Me By Your Name. This year, he has kept the momentum going by starring alongside Steve Carell in the heartbreaking film, Beautiful Boy.  

Weisz is an Academy Award-winning actress set to star in Yorgos Lanthimos’ The Favourite, alongside Emma Stone, Olivia Colman, and Nicholas Hoult. The film already premiered at the 2018 Venice Film Festival where it was welcomed by an excited audience. It was also shown at Telluride Film Festival and New York Film Festival and will be released by Fox Searchlight on November 23, 2018.

The Hollywood Film Awards are set to take place at the Beverly Hilton on November 4th.
