Random Button Pushing: Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate

So you’re a descendant of an assassin, and you’ve got to use futuristic DNA technology to go to your ancestor’s past and stop an evil man from taking over the world. Seems simple enough, right?
Well, actually, from what I’ve played it is! I had been afraid Assassin’s Creed would be beyond my random button mashing skills, but so far the on-screen tutorials that tell you what button to push to climb, run, sneak, stab, drop, etc. are easy enough to figure out, and (thank the Gods) it seems that you can’t just randomly fall off the precarious things you climb/run on–at least in the beginning. It’s fun as all get-out to run along pipes, planks, railings, rooftops, and the climbing up is pretty cool, too.
I know Syndicate isn’t the latest Assassin’s Creed release, but I enjoy the setting (and hope to eventually get the Jack the Ripper add-on pack!), and the graphics are nothing less than what I’d expect from the Creed gameplay video I’ve seen online and in commercials. Fluid movement, excellent details, and it’s hilarious to bump into people and shoulder them out of the way.
With the new Assassin’s Creed movie coming out soon, one of the Creed games should be a fun game to try for all skill levels. If you see the movie and enjoy it (or even if you don’t), try Assassin’s Creed for a great button-mashing time!
