Horror season has officially begun, and with Halloween just around the corner, you’re not going to want to miss Syfy’s new anthology horror show Channel Zero, which brings internet story memes to life.   The first six-episode arc, which was written by Nick Antosca and is titled Candle Cove, kicks off tonight at 9/8c and is based on Kris Straub’s “creepypasta” short story about a strange children’s show and its connection to a series of events that took place during one man’s childhood.

Paul Schneider portrays Mike Painter, who returns to his hometown where five children, including his brother, were murdered in a case that was never solved.  He is forced to relive old memories when one mother’s child goes missing after she had been watching “Candle Cove,” a show that Painter had watched as a child and one that may have been nothing more than static on the TV.

Directed by independent filmmaker Craig William Macneill, with showrunner and executive producer Nick Ancosta and executive producer Max Landis, Channel Zero: Candle Cove is produced by Universal Cable Productions.
