Fan Favorites Kick Off Freeform’s 2017 Schedule
Freeform is kicking off the new year with the return of some fan favorites. The network announced today that “The Fosters” and “Switched at Birth” will both premiere their new seasons on January 31.
When we last left “The Fosters,” multiple family members were in dangerous situations. The winter premiere is set to pick up from THAT cliffhanger. The family drama will return with new episodes on Tuesday, January 31 at 8:00 p.m. EST.

January will mark the beginning of the fifth and final season of “Switched at Birth.” This season of the Peabody Award-winning family drama is set to discuss the topical issue of campus race relations — culminating with an episode told from the perspective of several African-American characters. The show will also hit the milestone 100th episode of the series in 2017.
