Rituals of Mine was signed by Warner Brothers this past summer. The duo formerly known as Sister Crayon are not concerned that they will lose listeners due to the name change. Terra Lopez and Dani Fernandez felt that as their music evolved, so should their name and so Rituals of Mine was born. The name alludes to the process of writing, recording and touring; rituals that both performers are well acquainted with.
“Devoted,” which was originally released last year, has been remixed, features additional production and was remastered by studio legend Tom Coyne (Adele, Beyoncé). You can stream the re-released record Devoted at Soundcloud and experience this new music for yourself.
Also, Noisey premiered the first video yesterday, praising the Sacramento duo’s “gorgeously gloomy pop” and the track and video as “breathy but bold…a cruise through their hood, making features of the characters who make up their world.”
