First Look: White Colour Black

If you’ve spent any time on Tumblr, then Dudley O’Shaughnessy’s face is a familiar one to you. Whether it be a fan cast for a character (hello Ronan Lynch) or just simply modeling the latest fashion trend, odds are you’ve seen him around. This boxer, turned high fashion model, turned music video star (Rihanna’s We Found Love) is getting his much-anticipated film breakthrough with theWhite Colour Black.
White Colour Black is a movie that follows Leke (Dudley O’Shaughnessy) a successful young photographer living in London. When Leke’s estranged father gets sick and suddenly dies, he is forced to accept his responsibility as the only son, and make the journey to Senegal to bury his dad. In Senegal, Leke goes on a bit of a journey of self-discovery and cultural transformation that will impact his life forever.
Written and produced by British-Nigerian film director-writer-producer, Joseph A. Adesunloye, White Colour Black is said to debut at the BFI London Film Festival 2016.
Audiences are already buzzing about it, and I’m hoping it makes its way to some festivals in the States as well, I look forward to seeing Dudley’s acting career flourish from this. You can check out the trailer below.
