Mr. Robot: Red Wheelbarrow – The First Book to Tie Into USA Network’s Award-Winning Series

Readers can step inside the world of Mr. Robot, the award-winning USA Network/Universal Cable Productions series, with the book Mr. Robot: Red Wheelbarrow. The book is based on Elliot’s journal which is featured throughout Season 2 of the series. Co-written by series creator and showrunner Sam Esmail and series writer Courtney Looney, Mr. Robot: Red Wheelbarrow (Abrams Books; November 1, 2016; U.S. $29.95; Hardcover) is the personal notebook of Elliot Alderson, the show’s lead character, and is a uniquely rewarding way for the super fan to access Elliot’s complex psyche.

Before and during the events of season two, Elliot recorded his most private thoughts in his journal. Readers can experience Elliot’s battles to gain control of his life and his struggles to survive increasingly dangerous circumstances in a brand new story rendered in his own words. The journal also holds seven removable artifacts—a ripped-out page, newspaper clipping, mysterious envelope, and more—along with sketches throughout the book. Mr. Robot: Red Wheelbarrow reveals both the story behind the current season of Mr. Robot and hints of what is to come in season three. This book is the ultimate journey into the world of the show—and a key to hacking inside the complicated mind of the series’ main character.

Mr. Robot recently aired its second season on USA Network. The story follows Elliot Alderson (Rami Malek, “The Pacific”), a cyber-security engineer who becomes involved in the underground hacker group “fsociety,” after being recruited by their mysterious leader ( Christian Slater, “Nymphomaniac”).
