Waypoint Entertainment to Bring PLUTONA to Big Screen

PLUTONA, the critically-acclaimed comic series about a group of children who find a superhero’s dead body, has been acquired by Waypoint Entertainment. The series, written by award-winner Jeff Lemire and illustrated by Emi Lenox. Waypoint Entertainment, in conjunction with Addictive Pictures, will produce the film. Lemire is “excited” to be working with the film companies, stating, “PLUTONA has been a labor of love for us and we were very careful about finding a home for it, and we are thrilled that the team at Addictive and Waypoint share our passion for the story and for its potential as a film.”

Waypoint Entertainment is known for working with such big names as Christian Bale, Jared Leto, Ryan Gosling, and Natalie Portman, among others. Addictive Pictures focuses on “elevated genre films” and recently closed a deal for an MGM movie starring Bradley Cooper.
