Freeform August Programming Sets Up Dramatic Fall Season

As summer starts to wind down, Freeform is setting up one of its most intense Fall seasons yet. The month of August will bring season finales, but also offers movie and series premieres to tide viewers over until the Fall. Below, you’ll find the August programming schedules of your favorite Freeform shows.

Monday, August 1
“Justify” (8:00 – 9:00 P.M. EDT)
Stef and Lena are concerned that they will lose their home due to the tax lien. Lena confronts Brandon about a major secret that he has been keeping.

“Highs & Lows” (8:00 – 9:00 P.M. EDT)
When Jesus’s birth father, Gabe, doesn’t show up to work on Stef and Lena’s garage, Jesus takes on the job himself and gets injured in the process.

Mariana and Jesus compete in the First Robotics Southern California Regionals, and Lena grows concerned when Mariana gets too competitive under the stress.

Monday, August 1
“A Fall from Grace” (9:00 – 10:00 P.M. EDT)
After her arrest, Grace must confront a dangerous new world behind bars. For the first time Natalie struggles with doubts about her sister’s innocence and ends up turning to an unlikely source for information about the night Molly was killed.

“Eyes Wide Open” (9:00 – 10:00 P.M. EDT)
While Grace is locked up, Stan brings in a Memory Recovery Therapist to discover what Grace blacked out from the night Molly was killed.

Monday, August 15
“The Crown v Atwood” (9:00 – 10:00 P.M. EDT)
Stan and Gwen face-off in the courtroom as the “Grace case” finally begins. Natalie and Bruno try to find new evidence to prove Grace’s innocence before it’s too late, and Grace pursues another way of gaining her freedom.

The verdict is in and Molly Ryan’s killer is finally revealed.

Wednesday, August 3
“Young & Screwed” – Summer Finale

When termites force Gabi, Sofia and Yolanda out of their apartment building, they all temporarily move in with Josh. But Josh and Gabi are uncomfortable staying under the same roof.  Meanwhile, Elliot and Alan also stay over at Josh’s in lieu of a vacation.

Hot off the heels of the World Cheerleading Championships, The Great White Sharks must build a new dream team. Seasoned veterans and fresh faces face off in open tryouts as they attempt to earn a coveted spot.

Tattoos, a donkey sanctuary, and a radical coaching change are all part of the last-ditch effort by the Sharks to bounce back before their next big competition.

The Fast and the Furious (2001)

Los Angeles police officer Brian O’Connor (Paul Walker) must decide where his loyalties really lie when he becomes enamored with the street racing world, he has been sent undercover to destroy. This fast-paced automotive thriller from director Rob Cohen also stars Vin Diesel, Jordana Brewster and Michelle Rodriguez.

The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006)
(11:15 P.M. – 2:00 A.M. EDT)
Director Justin Lin picks up where John Singleton left off in the latest installment of the supercharged “Fast and the Furious” film series. A teenager (Lucas Black) becomes a major competitor in the world of underground Japanese drift racing after moving in with his father to avoid a jail sentence in America. The film also stars Shad Moss (Bow Wow) and Nathalie Kelley.

Wednesday, August 10
Runaway Bride (1999)
(8:30 – 11:00 P.M. EDT)
The late director Garry Marshall reunites Richard Gere and Julia Roberts in this romantic comedy about a columnist (Gere), fired by his editor/ex-wife for being too chauvinistic, who tries to redeem himself by chasing a story on spec about a woman (Roberts) who habitually jilts her fiances at the altar.

Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns (2008)
(6:00 – 8:30 P.M. EDT)
When Chicago-based single mother Brenda (Angela Bassett) sets out for Georgia to attend a funeral, the once fretful mother is pleasantly surprised to discover that there is a whole side of the family she never knew existed. A crass but good-natured clan that welcomes Brenda and her children with open arms, the Browns’ lazy summer afternoons and frequent trips to the county fair offer a much-needed contrast to the stress of surviving inner-city life. Writer/director/actor Tyler Perry reprises his role as indomitable, law-breaking grandmother Madea in a comedy that proves sometimes second chances come when you least expect them.

Married for 18 years to one of Atlanta’s most successful attorneys, Helen McCarter (Kimberly Elise) seems to have it all. With nowhere to go, Helen moves in with her grandmother Madea (Tyler Perry), a sassy woman with no shortage of opinions. Soon the divorcée meets handsome Orlando (Shemar Moore), but is she ready to trust a man again with her broken heart? Adapted from the popular stage play by Tyler Perry, “Diary of a Mad Black Woman” marks the first feature-film credit for successful music video director Darren R. Grant.
