BookCon Returns to New York, Joins with NYCC

Calling all bookworms! BookCon is coming to New York Comic Con.
BookCon, an event known for connecting readers with their favorite authors and other fans, is put on by REEDPOP. The event is most known as a place “where storytelling and pop culture collide.”
BookCon @ NYCC will bring four days of panels, autographing sessions, meet & greets, and more at Hudson Mercantile during NYCC on October 6-9, 2016. Fans are required to possess a NYCC badge valid for that day to attend all BookCon @ NYCC programming and events.
The initial guest list for BookCon @ NYCC brings bestselling authors to the fans, including beloved children’s author Ann M. Martin (The Baby-Sitter’s Club series, Missy Piggle-Wiggle and the Whatever Cure), YA sensation Danielle Paige (Dorothy Must Die, Stealing Snow), R.L. Stine (Goosebumps, Young Scrooge: A Very Scary Christmas Story), Chuck Wendig (Star Wars: Aftermath), and Naomi Novik (Uprooted, the Temeraire series). The world’s most influential publishers will also be present including Gallery, Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group, Bloomsbury, and others.
“BookCon @ NYCC is a testament to the continued success of New York Comic Con as the show grows beyond the Javits Center,” said Lance Fensterman, Global Senior Vice President of ReedPOP. “We are continuously striving to reach new audiences and provide more of the programming and events that fans are looking for and the robust lineup of authors and events at BookCon @ NYCC will allow us to do just that. It’s a privilege to connect leading publishers and authors with throngs of NYCC Fans and to unite two great New York City events for our Fans to experience.”
The addition of BookCon to NYCC is merely an expansion of BookCon itself. BookCon will continue to be its own event. Held in Chicago for 2016, BookCon is set to return to the Javits Center in New York on June 3 & 4, 2017.
