The Bergamot Announces Upcoming Performance at the Summer Camp Music Festival
Fresh off of the release of their latest album Tones, Brooklyn-based duo The Bergamot will join acts such as Mudcrutch, Umphrey’s Mcgee, The Roots, and Jason Isbell on Memorial Day weekend for the 2016 Summer Camp Music Festival in Chilicothe, IL.
Tones, the band’s third album, has just been the duo’s latest success. December saw the band wrap their “Unity” tour, a tour funded by Kickstarter. Since their 2012 win at the Bud Light Battle of the Bands, the husband and wife duo have received attention from Buzzfeed and Daytrotter as well as opened for acts such as All American Rejects and Young the Giant.
This will be the 16th year of the Summer Camp Music Festival, growing over the years from 1,000 attendees to 20,000. It has become one of the biggest festivals in the Midwest, nearly tripling the population of Chilicothe for the weekend.
