The Shannara Chronicles Fan Exhibition

Fan exhibitions are steadily gaining popularity. From the Saturday Night Live Exhibition, to The Hunger Games Exhibition, to the Teen Wolf Art Exhibit this past summer in New York City, fans have the opportunity to interact with their favorite television shows and movies on a personal basis. MTV is following this trend in an effort to promote their newest series: The Shannara Chronicles.
The television show is produced by Terry Brooks and based on his bestselling book series. Terry is a proud Seattle native, so MTV and Sonar Entertainment partnered with Seattle’s iconic Experience Music Project Museum, to bring fans a sneak peek of the show before the premiere date. A special display in the Fantasy: Worlds of Myth and Magic exhibition will hold props and exclusive items from the show. The museum’s JBL Theater will hold advanced screenings of the premiere episode at 12pm and 3pm. There is no additional cost for the exhibit or screening, they are included in the price of a EMP ticket, which can be purchased here.
The exhibit is open Monday, December 21st until Thursday, December 31st at Seattle’s EMP Museum (325 5th Ave N, Seattle, WA 98109). If you can’t make it out to Seattle, you can tune in to the two-part premiere of The Shannara Chronicles on Tuesday, January 5th at 10/9c on MTV.
