MCM David Tennant
My first experience with David Tennant came in the form of Barty Crouch, Jr. in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I didn’t know who he was at the time, only that he made a very attractive bad guy.
It wasn’t until 2009 when my then-supervisor introduced me to NuWho. She sent me home with her Doctor Who DVDs as research (it was a science fiction-heavy library) and the rest is history. I fell in love with David Tennant.
A couple of years later Tennant took on the lead in Hamlet both onstage and in a filmed production for the Royal Shakespeare Company. He fell in love with the stage, starring as the leads in Much Ado About Nothing (joined by fellow Who alum Catherine Tate) and Richard II.
David found post-DW television success in Broadchurch and the U.S. remake Gracepoint.
Tennant can now be seen in Marvel’s recently-released AKA Jessica Jones on Netflix. David plays the main villain, Kilgrave.
