2015 American Music Awards Nominations Announced

Today on ABC’s “Good Morning America” recording artists Joe Jonas and Charlie Puth announced the six categories of nominees for the 2015 American Music Awards. Following the broadcast, five categories were announced via Snapchat (TheAMAs). ABC News then live streamed the remaining 12 categories and included a recap of the 11 categories previously announced.

Taylor Swift leads the pack with six nominations, while Ed Sheeran and The Weeknd tie with five nominations each. All categories and nominees will be listed below.

Jennifer Lopez will host and perform at the 2015 AMAs. The world’s biggest fan voted award show will broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles Sunday, November 22 at 8 pm ET on ABC.

The 7th consecutive “Coca-Cola Red Carpet LIVE! @ The 2015 AMAs” pre show will air before the ABC broadcast. Live coverage will stream online for fans worldwide to view starting at 5 m ET/2 pm PT on November 22 at Yahoo. The live stream can also be watched at TheAMAs.com and ABC.com.

AMA nominees are based on fan interactions as reflected in Billboard Magazine and on Billboard.com; these include album and digital single sales, radio airplay, streaming, social activity, and touring. These measurements were tracked by Billboard and its data partners.

The winners are voted entirely by fans. Voting opened today in all categories except for New Artist of the Year presented by Kohl’s and Collaboration of the Year Un-leased by T-Mobile, which will open on November 1 at 12:01am ET. More information on voting for these categories will be announced in the coming weeks.

Fans can vote for each category once a day, per platform in any (or many) in the following ways:

• Via AMAvote.com
• Posting a status on Facebook that includes the nominee’s name and the category’s hashtag within the post(s).
• Posting a tweet on Twitter that includes the nominee’s name or Twitter handle, the category name and #AMAs within the post(s).
