Is it the perfect time for a Gilmore Girls reunion movie?

At the recent ATX Festival in June, there was one event that fans were especially excited to attend, the Gilmore Girls reunion panel featuring actors Lauren Graham (Lorelai), Alexis Bledel (Rory), Danny Strong (Doyle), Jackson Douglas (Jackson), Jared Padalecki (Dean), Arielle Kebbel (Lindsey), John Cabrera (Brian), Keiko Agena (Lane), Kelly Bishop (Emily), Liz Torres (Miss Patty), Liza Weil (Paris), Matt Czuchry (Logan), Milo Ventimiglia (Jess), Scott Patterson (Luke), Todd Lowe (Zack) and Yanic Truesdale (Michel).
It’s been eight years since the last Gilmore Girls episode aired on The CW, but the love for the show and the residents of Stars Hollow remains as strong as ever.
One of the questions asked during the panel was whether a Gilmore Girls reunion movie would be made in the foreseeable future. Sadly, the answer wasn’t a yes.
However, I think it would be the perfect time for a Gilmore Girls Reunion Movie! Fans are not the only ones who have expressed an interest in bringing the show’s characters back to life. Several of the key actors from the show would love to step back into their old characters’ shoes.
Additionally, television audiences seem to have a nostalgia for shows of the past. There have been remakes of many shows as well as Unauthorized Saved By the Bell and Full House movies aired on Lifetime.
With fans having supported a Kickstart campaign for another great CW series, Veronica Mars, could a similar effort be made for Gilmore Girls?
