Cover Wars: Unbreakable Smile

“Unbreakable Smile” is the title song for Tori Kelly’s debut album as well as the first song that she wrote for the album. After getting doubtful feedback from the music industry about how a girl and her guitar could really make it, Tori decided to spill her thoughts about it all into a song. The song is honest and simplistic, it gives a real view into Tori is as an artist and a person! I think this is the perfect title track for her debut album.

The music video for “Unbreakable Smile” was released in April 2015 and doesn’t have the flash and lights commonly found in today’s music video. Instead it’s just Tori singing to the camera and really showing her personality. I think this song is full of great lessons as well as the honesty and simplicity that the music industry is missing.
