‘The View’ Names First Female Director

ABC News officially announced the appointment of Sara de la O to director of The View when the show returns for season 19 this September. This marks the first time in the show’s history that a female director will take the reigns behind-the-scenes.

“We are very excited to have Sarah join the show,” said Bill Wolff, executive producer. “She has an excellent eye and a keen understanding of both visual presentation and editorial content.”

Sarah de la O is a seven-time Emmy Award winner, with veteran experience in the industry. Ranging from live talk shows and events her recent credits include VH1’s ‘Make a Band Famous,’ ‘E3 All Access Live’ for Spike, ‘Crowd Goes Wild‘ with Regis Philbin and more.
