Book Review: Eighth Grave After Dark by Darynda Jones

In this eighth installment of the Charley Davidson series by author Darynda Jones, sarcastic and headstrong private investigator–and full-time grim reaper–Charley Davidson finds herself yet again in more hot water than she can handle.
Full of non-stop action and suspense, Eighth Grave After Dark takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions and leaves you begging for more with each twist and turn. The book opens with Charley on the run from the hounds of hell and due to give birth any day. Such predicaments are commonplace for our dear Charley and she takes it all in stride, even taking on a new case while on the lam. As if that wasn’t enough, her husband, Reyes Farrow, is keeping secrets from her; secrets that could be deadly to them both. Add in the trademark sensuality between Charley and Reyes, and you have a recipe for addiction.
Pick up one of these books, and you’ll find yourself craving the rest of the series in no time. The next installment is due for release in January, and there is a novella from Reyes’ point of view due out in October–plenty of time to catch up, catch the Charley Davidson fever, and get ready for the next book.
