ABC to Add New Comedy Variety Show

ABC will be adding a new variety show to their lineup hosted by Anthony Anderson (Black-ish). To Tell The Truth is an anarchic and funny re-imagination of the beloved, game show of the same name. However the new version will feature fun characters from pop culture over the six-episode series and a panel of celebrities.

Betty White (Golden Girls, The Mary Tyler Moore Show) and NeNe Leakes (Glee, The New Normal) will star in all six episodes as panelists.

The premise for the show is as follows, Anderson will preside over four celebrity panelists and in each round will present the celebrity panel with three people who all claim to be the same person, with the same talent, job or achievement. However, only one is actually telling the truth and after a series of questions from each panelist, the panel will then guess which participant is actually telling the truth. The celebrity panelist who scores the lowest will have to tweet a lie about themselves to the entire world!

To Tell The Truth is produced by FremantleMedia North America and will be taped in front of a live audience in Los Angeles.
