Book Review- Twintuition: Double Vision by Tia & Tamera Mowry

Twins enjoy a marvelous connection, a special bond rooted from the moment that they become “womb mates”.  The twin bond lasts throughout their lives. I know because I am a twin.  The bond I share with my twin sister Stacy is unbreakable.

Twins also share their own language that seems to fascinate outsiders. But what if twins could see the future and then save the world like stockbroker turned hero Gary Hobson did in the television show “Early Edition”?

Tia and Tamera Mowry answer the question of twins who can predict the future in their novel Twintuition: Double Vision.  The Mowry sisters were first introduced to television audiences in the 1990s when they starred in the sitcom Sister, Sister as identical twins Tia Landry and Tamera Campbell, siblings separated at birth and later reunited. Tia Mowry-Hardrict currently stars in the sitcom Instant Mom and is the host of her own cooking show, Tia Mowry At Home. Tamera Mowry-Housley is a co-host of the daytime talk show The Real.  In their novel, the Mowry sisters introduce us to identical twin sisters Cassie and Caitlyn Waters.  The Waters twins face a big adjustment when their mom, who has a new job, moves them from their home in San Antonio to Aura. Caitlyn tries to accentuate the positive believing that the move will allow them new opportunities. But Cassie is dismayed and longs to return to San Antonio. The sisters face a big adjustment in their new environment that is compounded when they start getting visions. What follows is a journey of self-discovery with an undercurrent of mystery.

The tale of the Waters sisters is woven by revealing events from each of their perspectives. Written in the first person narrative permits the reader to examine each sister’s emotions as the story unfolds.

I highly recommend this book. While the targeted audience might be teenagers, Tia and Tamera have crafted a wonderful story that is enjoyable for all ages.
