2015 ATX Festival Update: Panels, Planes, and Parties
As the time draws nearer and the amazing panels and screenings are announced, it’s getting more and more difficult to hide our excitement for ATX Television Festival’s upcoming 4th season. For those unfamiliar, ATX Festival is a television and entertainment festival that brings together some of the fans’ favorite groups of people from past, present, and upcoming television shows. This year, ATX Festival will be held June 4-7, 2015, and they have recently made some exciting announcements regarding upcoming panels and parties during the festival. Read below for an update on what’s to come, and scroll to the bottom for links to ATX Festival’s website for more information!
As previously announced, ATX Festival will also be hosting a Gilmore Girls reunion next June, in association with Entertainment Weekly (EW). Panelists will include Amy Sherman Palladino (Creator) along with cast members Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Kelly Bishop, Jared Padalecki, Scott Patterson, Keiko Agena, Liza Weil, Liz Torres, Sean Gunn, Yanic Truesdale and John Cabrera. Newly added to the panel are cast members Danny Strong, Todd Lowe, Jackson Douglas and Matt Czuchry.
“Entertainment Weekly readers and ATX Television Festival attendees are one in the same – a savvy blend of both television fans and those who follow the entertainment industry – so a partnership with EW was the perfect fit for us. We’re thrilled to have EW present ‘Gilmore Girls’ as Closing Night, as it will allow us to host it in a larger venue for more fans to enjoy, and those who can’t attend will still have the chance to watch it on EW.com. We couldn’t be more excited to be working alongside EW, and look forward to more opportunities in the future.” – Caitlin McFarland and Emily Gipson, Co-Executive Directors and Founders, ATX Television Festival
Even more exciting is the announcement that ATX Festival (in partnership with Entertainment Weekly) will be hosting a groundbreaking – pun intended – panel from 35,000 feet in the air! Southwest’s Party Plane will be the kickoff point for the weekend, and will surely be a panel to talk about for years to come.
