Frances O’Connor Joins ‘Once Upon a Time’ as Belle’s Mother

She’s going to be Once Upon a Time’s new guest!

The ABC fairytale drama is welcoming actress Frances O’Connor as Belle’s (Emilie de Ravin) mother, EW reports. As Colette, fans will soon learn that “she had an immense impact on Belle’s life.”

When we see her, it will be via flashbacks. “For the first time, we’ll delve into Belle’s past pre-the encounter with Rumple,” executive producer Adam Horowitz recently told EW.

She’ll first appear — briefly — in Episode 6, but there’s a chance we might see her later on in the season.

O’Connor is also known for Cashmere Mafia, Mansfield Park and Mr. Selfridge.

OUAT returns for Season 4 Sunday, Sept. 28 at 8/7c on ABC.
