Fiction2Flim Convention: the Perfect Weekend for Book and Movie Lovers

We owe it all to books like “Twilight” and “The Hunger Games” for getting young adults into reading. These books have become so popular with people of all ages, that they have also become huge franchise films. This weekend June 23-24, in Chicago, fans can come together to celebrate and discuss movies that have been made into films in Creation Entertainment’s Fiction2Film convention!

This convention which will heavily feature “The Hunger Games”, will include apparences by many of the cast members. Cast members will include (on Saturday) Willow Shields (Primrose Everdeen), and the film’s prep team members: Brooke Bundy, Kimiko Gelman and Nelson Ascencio. On Sunday there will be appearances by Amandla Stenberg (Rue), Dayo Okeniyi (Thresh) and Jacqueline Emerson (Fox Face).

If that’s not enough in itself, the convention will include costume and trivia contests, no minimum bid auctions, and previews of upcoming sci-fi television shows and motion pictures.

The convention will begin with an opening night gala, where the attendees can dance the night away with some of their favorite celebrities from “The Hunger Games”. Other events during the festival include costume contests, photos and autographs with the celebrities, trivial contests and fan site panels. To see the full schedule, click here.

The best part about the festival to us, is that it is very affordable for fans to attend. General admission tickets are available in advance or at the door for $15. Tickets for the Saturday Night Cocktail Party are $35. Show hours are Saturday and Sunday, 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

If you live near or around the Chicagoland area come to the Fiction2Film convention this weekend!
