Artist of the Week: Greg Raposo
Genre: Pop/Rock
Location: Corona, NY
Website: http://gregraposomusic.com/
Bio: Greg began performing when he was very little. He booked his first gig when he was nine years old. In 2000, Greg joined the popular boy band Dream Street. At the age of 16, after Dream Street broke up, Greg pursued a solo career. He released his solo self-titled debut album in 2003. Since then he joined a few bands like Raposo and Dead Celebrities. Now, Greg has found his way back to his solo roots and just released his second solo album entitled Loss Love Life.
Why he is the Artist of the Week: I grew up going to Greg’s concerts. When I was in 7th and 8th grade I attended Dream Street concerts and when I was in High School I saw Greg perform his solo gig. He’s always held a special place in my heart, because I grew up with him. As his music matured so did I. When Loss Love Life was released I listened to it in the car on repeat for over four weeks. Loss, love and life is exactly what his new music, and his first single “That Day” is all about. His new CD has the ability to brighten my day and make me cry all at once. That’s pure talent! I had the privilege of going to Greg’s Loss Love Life CD release party, and if you have the chance to see him in concert do not miss it!
