Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews Out As Hosts on ‘Dancing With The Stars’

Dancing With The Stars is shaking things up ahead of its 29th season as both Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews will not be returning to the show.

Bergeron tweeted the shocking news late Monday afternoon, confirming that he will not be a part of the show moving forward after 28 seasons as the host.

Andrews is also departing the show after six years. She joined the show back in 2014 and would split her time between co-hosting DWTS and being a sideline reporter on FOX NFL broadcasts.

Both ABC and BBC Studios released a joint statement confirming the departures of both hosts.

“Tom Bergeron will forever be part of the Dancing with the Stars family. As we embark on a new creative direction, he departs the show with our sincerest thanks and gratitude for his trademark wit and charm that helped make this show a success,” the statement read. “Erin will also not be returning, and we appreciate all that she brought to the ballroom. Fans have been rooting for her since she originally competed as a contestant back in 2010, and her signature sense of humor has become a hallmark of the show.”

The future of the show remains uncertain despite the show being set to return for a 29th season later this fall. COVID-19 has forced most TV productions to shut down and no guidelines have been given as to how the show will safely begin production.
