CBS Reportedly Begins Production Prep For ‘Big Brother 22’

It is not summer without Big Brother and CBS is reportedly beginning production preparations for a possible 22nd season.

Deadline is reporting that the Big Brother house in Studio City is currently under construction and CBS has begun preliminary production preparations, giving fans some hope that a season of the summer hit show will still happen despite a global pandemic.

It is important to note that this season is still in the early stages as producers still need to receive union and guild approval to sign off on filming. Despite several online rumors, the casting has not been finalized either as of yet.

CBS Entertainment President Kelly Kahl told Deadline in June that he was optimistic that Big Brother would be on the CBS schedule this summer.

“We still hope to have [these shows] on the air this summer, it could be a little later than usual but we’re still optimistic about getting those on,” he said. “Those shows turn around pretty quickly, Big Brother has live shows every week and… those shows do not have long post processes.”
