Katie Cassidy Rodgers to make directorial debut in final season of ‘Arrow’

Arrow‘s final season this fall will see Katie Cassidy Rodgers take on a new role off-screen: director. The news was revealed when the cast of Arrow sat down with Entertainment Weekly prior to their Saturday panel at San Diego Comic-Con.

However, this is not something out of the blue for Rodgers; it is something that she has been wanting to do for some time.

“Throughout the years I always have wanted to, and I just started shadowing more and shadowing more, and I recently did the Warner Bros. directors’ program, which was incredible,” Rodgers said. “It’s going to be fun. I can’t wait to direct all of you!”

Rodgers is not the only show star flexing their directorial muscles. David Ramsey, who plays John Diggle/Spartan, directed an episode in Season 7.
