Season 21 of ‘Big Brother’ to premiere June 25 on CBS

Summer is around the corner and that means its time for more Big Brother!

CBS announced on Monday that the 21st season of the hit summer show will air a two-night premiere on Tuesday, June 25 and Wednesday, June 26 at 8 pm ET. Julie Chen-Moonves will return as the show’s host.

This summer, the show will air on Tuesdays until July 10 before it shifts days to its usual Wednesday night slot. The move comes as a surprise as it will now go head-to-head with America’s Got Talent, which is typically summer’s No. 1 most-watched show on Tuesday nights.

It should surprise no one that Big Brother is back. The show usually does well in the ratings for CBS, scoring a 1.5 in the 18-49 demo last year and was in the top 10 in viewers.

There is no word on the celebrity edition of the show, which has aired in midseason for the past two years. CBS said at its upfronts last week that the status of the spin-off edition is currently up in the air.
