Abby refocuses on making sure that her studio is thriving, as she searches for her next Maddie. Abby hasn’t forgotten her ALDC Junior Elite girls and she continues to push them to become stars. This season includes glimpses of Abby’s next generation of dancers – the Mini Elite Team. These girls are full of promise and could put ALDC back on track to reclaim the National Title. Don’t miss a minute as these girls and their ever present moms push each other to new heights of competition.
Next up is the Lifetime original movie Girl in the Box which premieres on Saturday, September 10 at 8:00 pm ET/PT.
This intense psychological drama, based on the true story of Colleen Stan, a young woman kidnapped and held as a sex slave for over half a decade. In 1977, experienced hitchhiker Colleen (Addison Timlin, That Awkward Moment) doesn’t think twice before jumping in the car of young couple, Cameron (Zane Holtz, The Perks of Being a Wallflower) and Janice Hooker (Zelda Williams, The Dead of Summer) for a ride to visit friends. But soon the life she knows is completely ripped away as the couple abducts her and takes her to their isolated trailer where Cameron tortures and rapes her with Janice watching.
For the next seven years, Colleen, who is renamed Kay by her captors, is imprisoned for up to 23 hours a day in a coffin-sized box which is hidden beneath their bed. Only allowed to be out of the box to babysit the Hooker’s kids or to satisfy Cameron’s sexual demands, Colleen never tries to escape, fearing she would be tortured or her family would be harmed. Janice finally reaches her breaking point in 1984 when Cameron starts talking about taking more sex slaves. Infuriated and frightened, Janice, finally decides to leave him and she eventually notifies the authorities of Colleen’s kidnapping.

In the clean-up position in this September line-up is Sister Cities, a Lifetime original movie that premieres Saturday, September 17 at 8:00 pm PT/ET.
Based on the internationally-acclaimed play, Sister Cities tells the story of four estranged half-sisters who reunite after their mother’s alleged suicide. Their mother, Mary Baxter (Jacki Weaver, Silver Linings Playbook), led an enviable life as she married young, traveled the world as a dancer, and never looked back. Her four husbands gave her four daughters, each of whom are as different as the cities they are named after: Carolina (Stana Katic, Castle), Austin (Jess Weixler, Teeth), Dallas (Michelle Trachtenberg, Gossip Girl) and Baltimore (Troian Bellisario, Pretty Little Liars).
The sisters convene on a New England island shortly after their mother’s death; each is harboring a secret of her own. As a raging storm traps them inside their island home, they discover that Mary also had a secret and that they are forced to come together to deal with the unusual and tragic circumstances of her death. Amy Smart, Alfred Molina, Tom Everett Scott and Kaia Gerber also star.
Sister Cities is produced by Cannonball Productions with Return to Zero‘s Sean Hanish (executive producer/director) and Colette Freedman (writer).
