AMC’s New Late Night Series “Geeking Out” Premieres Sunday, August 14

Hot on the heels of its special San Diego Comic Con® episode, AMC’s new late-night series “Geeking Out” will premiere on Sunday August 14 at 11:00 pm ET/PT with all new episodes  This new late-night talk show (on AMC), hosted by Kevin Smith (“Comic Book Men,” “Clerks”) and Greg Grunberg (“Heroes, “Heroes Reborn” “Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens”), focuses on pop culture through a uniquely fanboy lens and will feature talk, celebrity interviews, and out-of-the-studio segments. Please be sure to make note that the following week (August 21), the show will start at midnight, which is its regular timeslot.

In this new episode, Kevin and Greg chat with Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk about their time on the gone-too-soon Joss Whedon series “Firefly” as well as their hilarious web series “Con Man,” which shattered crowd-funding records for its first season. They also talk geek news and rumors, and get some behind-the-scenes scoop on the next installments of “Guardians of the Galaxy” and “Star Wars,” thanks to Nathan and Alan’s upcoming guest-starring roles.

Then, the hosts visit Greg’s oldest friend, renowned director J.J. Abrams, on the Universal Studios back lot to talk about his new HBO series “Westworld,” and reminisce about coming up in the business together.

“Geeking Out,” an AMC and The Weinstein Company co-production, is produced by Matador Content in association with Bandwagon Media with Jerry Carita, Jay Peterson, Todd Lubin, Patrick Reardon, Brad Savage, Smith and Grunberg serving as executive producers.
