So What?! Music Festival Announces Official Pre-Party

So What?! Music Festival is set for it’s 9th year of awesome! The two-day event is scheduled for March 19th and 20th in Grand Prairie, Texas at Quiktrip Park. As a special treat leading up to the festival, So What?! has announced that it will be holding a special pre-party with the group Set Your Goals! Additional major guests will be announced in the near future, so keep an eye out to see if some of your favorite bands will attend the event!
The Official Pre-Party is set to take place on March 18th, and will be held at The Door. As a growing music festival, this pre-show event is unique to So What?!, and adds another layer of intimacy between performing artists and fans that isn’t attained by other festivals, like South by Southwest. This was the main goal when promoter Mike Ziemer and his company Third String Festivals created the festival in 2008. It’s a festival “by the fans, for the fans,” says Ziemer, and a reason why the festival offers so many varying bands and genres at a steal ($50 for a single day ticket, and $99 for a weekend pass). The official pre-party is only $15! Where else can you find a bargain like that?
And though the VIP packages are a tad pricey at $250 for the Rockstar Package, and $350 for Superstar, they include special offers that a majority of other VIP packages don’t incorporate, including posters, private bathroom use, souvenir 3D tickets, full access to both the pre-party AND the after party, and much more! If I weren’t a college student spending so much money paying loans, I’d definitely be putting my money toward a VIP package ticket and a means of getting to Texas for this festival.
Even so, I’d still put money towards attending, even if I didn’t opt for the VIP package because the lineup that has been announced thus far is going to kick major ass. To give you an idea, some of the confirmed bands include New Found Glory, Underoath, State Champs, Real Friends, Milk Teeth, Like Pacific, and Have Mercy. And that doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface. What’s more, So What?! has added an acoustic stage, for which artists have yet to be revealed. A full list of confirmed bands for the rest of the festival can be found by going to sowhatmusicfestival.com.
Maybe some of these bands will be attending the official pre-party with Set Your Goals, and who would want to miss that opportunity? Again, the event takes place on March 18th, at The Door. You only have to spend $15 to attend! Tickets can be purchased at sowhatmusicfestival.com now, so don’t miss your chance to see some of your favorite bands before they take the stage for the So What?! Music Festival that weekend!
