Not Your Imagination: Richard Speight, Jr. To Direct December 2 Supernatural episode

It is neither your imagination nor a trick.

Supernatural alum Richard Speight, Jr., best known to fans of the show as The Trickster and the archangel Gabriel, returns to the long running CW series this time behind the camera. Speight will direct the December 2nd episode “Just My Imagination.” In this episode, viewers will see Sam Winchester’s (Jared Padalecki) childhood imaginary friend.

He joins series regulars Jensen Ackles and Misha Collins who have also directed episodes of the show.

Speight is an accomplished actor, writer, producer and director. Some of his acting credits include television shows Alias, CSI, Band of Brothers, JAG, Jericho, and the miniseries Into the West.

Directing an episode of Supernatural seems like a natural progression for the very talented Speight who also serves as the master of ceremonies at various Supernatural fan conventions. His warmth and humor makes him a fan favorite.

Supernatural airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on The CW.
