This morning BBC One released an exclusive clip from the Doctor Who Series 9 prologue, due to be released in theaters next week. In this clip, we see the doctor handing off a strange disk to a member of the Sisterhood of Carne, previously seen in the Night of the Doctor, telling her to keep the universe safe. What is this disk? Why did he give it to her? Where is he going?

The answers are sure to be revealed in Series 9, so don’t miss the prologue in theaters during their two-night 3D special showings of the last two episodes of series 8, this September 17th and 18th. Go to the BBC website to watch the sneak peek clip!
