Yeasayer's New Single: "Henrietta" AND New Tour Dates
Surprise surprise! A new single from Yeasayer was just uploaded to Soundcloud less than five hours ago and it is already grooving across the world wide web. The Brooklyn based band recently sent out a CD to most of the members of their mailing list featuring this single alone and boy is it something.
The song begins with a fantastic synth lead that pricks my ears up instantly. The song has such a great groove and the lyrics flow beautifully from start to finish. Throughout the song, I felt a “twilight zone” vibe which I loved as well as a reggae feel. The entire song itself is very trippy, and catchy, as midway through the song we finally hear the name from the title: Henrietta, we can live on forever. A beautiful two minute build follows the coda that literally gave me goosebumps all over.
