Tribute to Michael Jackson


Michael Jackson, often referred to as The King of Pop, would’ve turned 57 on August 29 if he were still alive. He was born in Gary, Indiana. Jackson and his four brothers Jackie, Toto, Jermaine and Marlon became known to the public in 1964 as the singing group The Jackson 5. They released a hit single ABC and even appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show.

In 1971, Michael Jackson branched out on his own and became a solo artist. By the 1980s, Jackson was a force to be reckoned with in the pop music world. Songs Beat ItBillie Jean and Thriller were made into music videos that were highly successful. In fact, Thriller is the best-selling album of all time. The music video for Thriller had stunning makeup and choreography that is unmatched to this day.

Jackson is one of the few artists that was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice. His music transcends race, cultures and generations. Michael Jackson remains a beloved performer.

The legacy of Michael Jackson will never be forgotten. Even in death, his music will live forever.
