Is Cameron Monaghan leaving 'Shameless' for some vampires?

Relax all you Gallavich and Shameless fanatics. Take a deep breath. There has been no word one way or another regarding if Cameron Monaghan is leaving Shameless.  However, he has recently joined the cast of the soon to start filming Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters based off the book series written by author Richelle Mead.  Filming is expected to begin soon in London and has a release date of February 14th, 2014.  Cameron will be joining the already cast Zoey Deutch as Rose Hathaway, Danila Kozlovsky as Dimitri Belikov, Lucy Fry as Vasilisa “Lissa” Dragomir, Ashley Charles as Jesse Zeklos, Sami Gayle as Mia Rinaldi, Claire Foy as Sonya Karp, and Olga Kurylenko as Headmistress Ellen Kirova.

Cameron will be playing the role of Mason Ashford who is a dhampir which is a half human half vampire and who just so happens to be the heroine of the series best friend.  So that would bode well for all you Cameron fanatics who might be worried it will be a blink and you miss it part.  Although there is no official word on whether or not Cameron will be returning to Shameless, filming on the 4th season isn’t set to begin until September which means Cameron has plenty of time to do both.  And come on does anyone really think Ian Gallagher won’t be back?
