'The Walking Dead' Potential Casting News

The word is that Lawrence Gilliard Jr (The Wire, Army Wives) is in the running to play Roy Stark in the upcoming 4th season.

For those of you who don’t know who Roy Stark is it is rumored that he is the comic counterpart to Sgt. Abraham Ford who became Rick Grimes right hand man after **Spoiler** dies.  Whether or not that turns out to be true remains to be seen.

If Gilliard is cast I for one am glad that they are not sticking to the confines of the character descriptions in the novels.

Filming of Season 4 is believed to begin May 6th in Atlanta however without former showrunner Glen Mazzara after it was announced in December that Scott Gimple would be the show’s new showrunner.
