ABC Announces Tim McGraw and Faith Hill To Perform at the 46th Annual CMA Awards

The 46th Annual Country Music Awards are just around the corner, and today ABC officially announced that Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are to perform twice: solo, and later, along with Lady Antebellum and Blake Shelton, in a special tribute to Willie Nelson. Of course, as previously announced, Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood are to host for the fifth year, and you can view the full list of nominees on the CMA Awards website. 2012 CMA nominee Tim McGraw and multi-platinum-selling artist Faith Hill will perform on the “46th Annual CMA Awards,” which air live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 1 (8:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. Hill will sing her newest single, “American Heart,” and McGraw will debut new music from his forthcoming album. The couple will return later in the show, together with Lady Antebellum and Blake Shelton, to take part in a special musical tribute to country music legend Willie Nelson, on “Country Music’s Biggest Night™.”

Previously announced performers on “The 46th Annual CMA Awards,” which will be hosted for the fifth time by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, include Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Kelly Clarkson, Eli Young Band, Brantley Gilbert, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Paisley, Shelton, Taylor Swift, The Band Perry, Underwood and Zac Brown Band.

The CMA Awards nominees and winners are determined by the 11,000 industry professional members of CMA, which was formed in 1958 as the first trade organization to promote an individual genre of music. The first “CMA Awards Banquet and Show” was held in 1967. The following year, the CMA Awards was broadcast on NBC television for the first time – making it the longest-running annual music awards program on network television. The Awards aired on NBC through 1971 and on the CBS Television Network from 1972 through 2005. The CMA Awards moved to ABC in 2006, where it will remain through 2021.
